Vision

The modern urbanised world is made by people, and it takes people to change it. People are our most precious asset. If we do not take care of each other, we will grow to be seperated  which will make us lose our asset in change. By caring for people and striving for unity we will be able to help other things on this planet. Like our beautiful nature.

Caring for people means supporting them with information, giving clarity and making sure we understand each other. The only thing we do while designing is giving people a set of characteristics of which we hope they are perceived in the way it was meant to be. People interact with the design based on a thousand other similar interactions they had before. All these interactions create your image of reality. When designing, you want the design to fit the persons image of reality, because that determines their perception of the design. To know who you designing for and to know what aesthetics are essential to reach those people is a skill that is important to develop.

Technology can be of great help to get to know humans and to reach them efficiently. It can save time and support designers. It can also create unexpected suprises as it is non human. Humans have less liberty in being outside of social norms and to behave unexpectatly. Technology can hereby break a barrier and break the ice. Technology is, and especially AI, our number 1 helping hand in our research and design, so to persistantly put effort in getting to know new technologies is of the essence.

I would like this world to be less human-centred. This with the earth and environment in mind. A consequence of the fact that people are divided is that progressive and possibly world changing designs and initiatives are overlooked. I am inspired by post-human design and want to make the world ready to receive them. I design not to be human-centred but to promote human well-being, happiness and unity.
